Bedouin Nomad By Kia Rayburn (Poetry)

Badawi, home is people not place
petrol is not their treasure trove,

 goats, sheep, camels,
 milk, meat, wool blankets,

 low tents made from hair,
 selling camels in town,

 income for these desert dwellers,
 there are no borders,

 networks built from moving,
from town to village to distant pasture,

 Bedouin loyalty is to family,
 No one can survive,
 the desert alone,
